Cloudy Cow order

I had been wanting to make an order with Cloudy Cow for a while and after Daisy, the owner of Cloudy Cow, mentioned she was getting some Halloween stock in, I decided to hold on until then.. but I couldn't wait!
So I got an order in and the day after it dispatched, it arrived! It was packaged perfectly, very cute but also secure.

Very reasonable prices and obviously checks pens before sending them (I have had issues before from other shops where pens have arrived and they have literally no ink!), the ice cream pen writes beautifully. It has a small nib and black ink so exactly what I love to write with!
Of course I had to get the bunny magnetic bookmarks, some washi and the adorable Totoro pencil case. The sticker sheet was a freebie on offer for that weekend!

I am completely obsessed with the Cloudy Cow website now and will have to rein in the spending when the Halloween stock is in!

I recommend Cloudy Cow 100%, super happy with the service, prices and the quality of the items.
Can't wait to put my next order in!

Butterfly Filofax Setup

I decided to switch out of my domino and go back to my butterfly for a bit!
I love my butterfly but my peeve with it is that the rings are a-okay until I put the innards in. Then the rings start spacing.. I shouldn't complain too much as they are in line and I have no issues with pages getting stuck but it just gets on my nerves sometimes!

I bought the butterfly from Colemans around March for £22. I just love the colours and the way the pockets are set out on the inside. I also love the butterfly print which is funny as I am terrified of butterflies! I like prints and things but if one is flying towards me I will be running in the opposite direction!
It isn't completely packed full but the notebook at the back makes it seem that way. I don't mind at all though as I love chunky planners!

This is my favourite part! I love opening this filofax because I can fit all of my sticky notes and things into the pockets.
There are paperclips everywhere of course. I made the bunny and pink ribbon ones myself, the fox was from a pack from The Range and the butterfly one was from a pack from Sainsburys.
I also made the dashboard myself after finding that adorable picture on Google!

This is where I stick all of my to do lists for around the house as this filofax doesn't go out with me. I made the dashboard and the project life card myself.

Next I have a top loading pocket with some project life cards, some stickers and a spare page marker.
On the sticky note I have just made a note of where and when the next Invictus Games will be held!

Next up are my dividers! I made these to match this filofax but also added these huge Frozen stickers I got from a magazine. (Yep, I really am 23!)
I won't go into each section as it is all personal but this first section holds my extended diary/journal. I tend to use it most if I'm having a bad anxiety day and just need to vent!

Behind this divider is where I keep note of my passwords! Not 'important' passwords but passwords for my games like Sims, Ark etc.

Behind this divider is actually just some spare note paper - lined, grid and plain.

And finally this divider doesn't really have any use so I moved my sticker pouch behind it.

Here is a little close up on my planner charm. It is one of the trolls from Frozen which I got from a kinder egg and just added the pin bail, jump ring and strap.
I love turning things like this into planner charms!

I love this planner and I'm feeling a sense of relief now I have moved back in!
Who knows, maybe next week I will be in my monochrome but for now I am somewhat settled.

Compact Pennybridge Setup

I had been trying to find a filofax that I could use as a purse for a while but just couldn't decide between the Pennybridge or buying some card holders and converting a pocket planner.
The choice was kind of made for me after I managed to win a compact Pennybridge for £10.13 from eBay!
From the photos it looked like it was in good condition but when it arrived it looked new!
I was so happy with it. It also came with a wedge of notepaper which was handy as the purse doubles up as my list book!

With the rings being smaller than personal sized rings it means I can't do my usual and stuff it full, especially as I carry it around with me I don't want it to be super heavy!
It is quite big for a purse, bigger than my usual purses but not that much different to what I am used to so it hasn't been too difficult to get used to.

So basically, I use my Pennybridge as a purse and keep my shopping lists and wish lists in it. Occasionally I will jot down notes to transfer into my everyday planner if it wasn't to hand at the time.

The only real issue I had with it was that it wouldn't lie flat or even stay open, it would just close unless I was holding onto both sides. I had seen on YouTube some ladies who had bent their Kate Spade zipped planners back and trained them to lie flat so I thought I would have a go. The thought actually terrified me! I thought I would ruin it but it has had no ill effects and you can't tell at all. I took all of the inserts out first and spent a few hours gently bending it and keeping the sides weighed down. I can now write in it without it closing on me so mission successful!

I keep all of my cards in the left, along with some cash and sticky notes but I have a separate purse I use for coins as it gets a little bulky.
The front dash is a photo of my little queen, Poppy, who we sadly lost last year. I thought the Project Life card fitted the photo perfectly though!
The owl pen is a black biro from Paperchase.

On the back of my dashboard I have a few sticky notes and some 'to do' sticky notes. Then 2 cards (usually my planners are full of these things but I'm trying to keep it to a minimum!), a card holder insert which I keep stamps in, some stickers and the card with my rabbits vets number on.

And finally the notepaper! I just decorate the tops of the pages to break it up a little bit. The to do list page is what I use as my 'book wishlist'!

For me and how I use the Pennybridge it is a great purse but I could also quite happily use it as my main planner and would recommend it to anyone looking to try out a zipped planner,
Now I know this set up works for me the next on my list is a zipped malden..!

#happymail

Yesterday I received 5 washi tapes, 10 deco tapes, 6 sheets of stickers and 2 pens!

I ordered them about 2 weeks ago from eBay. It came to just over £6 in total so for that price I didn't mind the wait from China!

The pens are black ink and are lovely to write with.
The stickers are so cute, I think they're designed so you can colour them in but I quite like them as they are in black and white.
The deco tapes and washi tapes were picked and sent at random but I thought all of the designs were really cute so I am really happy with what I was sent.
I was worried they wouldn't be sticky but I am really happy with the quality.

Current Planner Stack

These are the planners I am currently using on a daily basis.
I do have three which are currently out of action and those are my personal butterfly Filofax, personal monochrome Filofax and a pocket planner from Paperchase.
I tend to switch out quite a lot and use my personals as an extension to my diary.

So, from the bottom we have my first planner, an A5 Paperchase planner.
It was £22 from Paperchase and after a slight palaver with the order I was quickly hooked.
Quality isn't as amazing as the other planners I have but considering how much it has been used and thrown about it still looks new! Apart from the card slots which have gone slightly loose but it isn't something that has bothered me.
It is my penpal planner in which I keep letters, dates of when I sent letters etc.

Next is my A5 Hot Pink Domino which was my second planner but first Filofax. I bought it for £25 from WHSmiths.
I use the domino as my pet planner, I have 4 rabbits so use it everyday to keep track of vet trips/vaccinations etc.

Next is the A5 Dark Aqua Original which I bought from Speedyhen for £42.
This is my blog planner! I also use it to keep track of any hashtag challenges I am taking part in and thing like that. Quality is great and it's nice and floppy so lays flat which I love!

The clipbook is holding all of my expense/finance tracking and I purchased that from Amazon for £13.90. It's a strange one to use, for me anyway, but there is something about it which I love!

My purse is the compact Pennybridge which I won on eBay for £13.10! It came with a loads of notepaper inserts and perfect rings.. an absolute bargain!
I keep some of the notepaper in this to write shopping lists and also if I'm out and think of something to add to my ever growing wish list!

The personal Domino in brown was given to me by a family member. It has been well use but that just adds to the things I love about it. I love the elastic being a little loose, I love the feel of it, I love that it has little marks all over it. I just really love it!
This is my current journal planner, I hold lots of stickers and sticky notes in here too.

The saffiano has been the main feature of my blog so far as it is my new daily planner, I won't go into it too much as it has 2 posts of its own already but I love this thing!

Future posts will be a break down of each planner set up so keep an eye out for those!

Pocket Filofax Setup

Time to have a look through the current set up I have for my pocket saffiano!

I am a massive paperclip fan, but I have kept the use of them to a minimum in my pocket by just using 3. The first helps hold my sticky notes which track incoming mail, the second holds previous weeks in my diary together and the third I use as a bookmark for my diary divider.
The pen I use was from eBay, it is a really nice thin biro with the most adorable duck for a clicker!

Onto the inside!
I made the dashboard myself but purposely left it fairly blank so I can still add things like my Project Life cards with washi tape to the front to change it up a bit.
I also attached a bit of cardboard to the back of my bunny sticky notes so I could slot them into one of the pockets as I don't want to stretch them by filling them up too much.

I made this monthly view for my planner to use as a 'going out tracker'. Due to my anxiety I haven't been going out much and I use them to mark off days where I have been out. I use them to look back on as positive moments!

I use the top loading pocket to keep hold of my 'no spend' month Project Life cards and the card holder insert holds my stickers.
I am doing a 'no spend' every month but it's more to keep me aware of my spending and help me save more money!

I have decorated up to the middle of November but this was the only weekly spread that didn't have my awful handwriting in it!
I tend to draw over the black lines with my Papermate pens and add a few stickers or minimal washi. I don't like to overdo the decoration too much as my handwriting is actually quite big so I need decent writing space.

The diary inserts I use are from Paperchase and I much prefer them over the Filofax ones. I have these until the 6th of January 2016 but may try out new ones for the new year.

I use this Frozen playing card as a bookmark for my notepaper. I haven't written anything yet but as it moves on I will just move it to the relevant page so I don't have to flick through all of the pages.

As you can see the filofax hasn't been completely stuffed although I do have quite a lot in there. I am having no issues with closing it and the rings are still nice and tight.

And finally here is my super cute me to you bear charm!
I turned this into a planner charm after cutting it off the top of a pen lid. It used to live on my hot pink domino but I thought it looked much better against the colour of the raspberry saffiano.

Pocket Saffiano Review

I finally found inspiration for my first blog post after receiving my beautiful new filofax in the post today!

It is the Pocket Saffiano in Raspberry and and cost £18.28 from Speedyhen.

First impression was WOW! I love the colour and the feel of the material is lovely and soft. At a first glance I was really impressed with the quality of this filofax.

Taken from the Filofax website -
Material Exterior: pu with classic leather-look cross grain effect
Material Interior: combination of external pu and colour matched polyester

The interior is a vibrant and pretty shade of pink!
I love the combination of the two colours, they go together so well.

To the left of the inside you have a pen loop, large pocket, 2 card pockets, 6 dividers and the typical filofax front page and flyleaf.

There was also a full set of inserts included with the filofax.

To do list pages.

Grid and plain paper.

Ruled paper in blue, green, pink and white.

Course records and timetables.

A 12 month diary for 2015.

A clear ruler and back flyleaf.

A top loading pocket and notepad.

As with every filofax and planner I buy I worry about the condition of the rings! Thankfully the rings on this pocket were perfect. At 19mm the ring size is much more generous than my previous pocket which were approximately 10mm.

Overall I am very pleased with the new addition to my filofax family and would definitely recommend the saffiano to a first time planner user or a seasoned planner addict.
The clasp closes tight and is quite long so it will be kind to me as I have a tendency to stuff my planners with lots of pretty and random things I like the look of.

Keep an eye out for my next blog post which will be a flip through of the set up in my pocket saffiano!
